Ange Postecoglou has decided to bring Luca Gunter and Ashley Phillips from Tottenham Hotspur to Barcelona.
As Postecoglou prepares for his debut season in England, Spurs will meet Barcelona in their final pre-season game of the summer this evening.
Tottenham‘s summer has been far from perfect, with one friendly against Leicester City called off owing to inclement weather, and AS Roma also pulling out of their planned match.
Nonetheless, Spurs have had a good pre-season, with victories over Lion City Sailors and Shakhtar Donetsk.
With the likes of Harry Kane going to be left behind when Spurs travel to Barcelona tonight, it appears Postecoglou may give some kids a chance.
Phillips and Gunter will play in a pre-season friendly in Barcelona.
The Spurs players can be seen boarding the plane as they go to Barcelona in a video provided on Tottenham‘s official Twitter account.
Phillips and Gunter can both be seen ready to board the plane in the footage.
Spurs ultimately sealed a deal to buy the highly-rated 18-year-old Phillips from Blackburn Rovers last week.
He’s anticipated to come in and reinforce Tottenham‘s Under-21s for the time being, but he might see some action tonight.
Gunter, on the other hand, was recently called up to first-team training to replace the injured Alfie Whiteman.
The 18-year-old is unlikely to see action tonight as Vicario adjusts to life at Spurs. However, being around the first-team setup throughout pre-season will only improve him.
