Leeds United’s summer transfer season has been more about sells than acquisitions, but Michael Bridges believes Leeds has pulled off a “unbelievable” move.
Leeds and The 49ers had to make money because they were not promoted to the Premier League. Seven people have purchased it, including well-known figures like Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville, Glen Kamara, and others.
A total of five have been loaned out, and many more have left after their contracts expired. This summer, Championship teams welcomed Cody Drameh, Luke Ayling, Ian Poveda, and Jamie Shackleton on free transfers.
There have only been four additions to the squad, and Alex Cairns, the club’s third-choice goalkeeper and the replacement for Kristoffer Klaesson, has already acknowledged he is unlikely to play much.

On Saturday, Joe Rothwell, who had joined on loan from Bournemouth, came off the bench, while Jayden Bogle got the start against Portsmouth. Joe Rodon, on the other hand, paid £10 million to move from Tottenham to Leeds.
Former Leeds striker Bridges lauded the agreement that brought permanent Tottenham defender Rodon to the team. Through a deal that saw Gray join Spurs, Leeds was able to make an attempt to sign the Wales player.

Gray may have the Whites to thank for choosing Tottenham and letting Leeds make a Rodon trade. After losing to Southampton, Rodon was connected to the Saints, Ipswich, and Leicester.
Just before Rodon, a top player from Wales, decided to come to Leeds, Ipswich even made a £10 million deal to sign him; Spurs turned down the offer, preferring Leeds. It’s a big deal to join Leeds and ignore the top flight.
Leeds’ prospects of being promoted to the Premier League at the second attempt have increased with Rodon at the back. But in light of Saturday’s stalemate with Portsmouth, he will need to get more focused.
