Leeds is competing to bring in a £3 million Wales star to play on loan with Ampadu; Rodon and James.

Leeds United is in the running to sign a new jewel on loan in an effort to bolster the current Wales international trio of Ethan Ampadu, Dan James, and Joe Rodon.

Leeds wants to add three more players before the deadline.

The Whites and Portsmouth played a tense 3-3 Championship opening weekend match on Saturday. At Elland Road, Daniel Farke’s squad dominated play, and Brenden Aaronson’s equalizer in stoppage time preserved a point for them.

Games will be delivered on a regular basis for the rest of the month while 49ers Enterprises works behind the scenes to add more before the August 30 deadline.

To date, Joe Rothwell has joined Leeds on loan; Rodon, Jayden Bogle, and Alex Cairns have all joined on permanent deals. However, more appears to be needed, particularly in light of the departures of players like Archie Gray, Glen Kamara, and Crysencio Summerville.

When questioned about the team’s transfer plans for the remaining games of the season, Farke stated, “Two or three positions we have to strengthen a bit more,” during his pre-match news conference in Portsmouth. Everything is going well thus far, but we’re not quite there yet.

The statement, “You can never have enough,” came from him. Every manager has higher goals in mind. Sincerely, it isn’t the goal; my preference would have been to preserve Summerville, Gray while incorporating even higher caliber. We’re having a great talk, and I have total confidence in our owners because they want the best for us.

Though most people agree that they would like a new winger to replace Summerville, The Athletic says that another midfielder and full-back are also on the must-do list. That full-back may be on loan from a top Premier League side, according to a recent update.

Leeds enters the competition to borrow Owen Beck.

According to Liverpool journalist DaveOCKOP, Leeds has apparently entered the race to sign Owen Beck on loan, with second division outfit Queens Park Rangers also expressing interest. Liverpool rates the full-back at £3 million, and Celtic is keen to tie him down to a long-term deal.

Beck attended the Anfield academy and is the nephew of Ian Rush, a star in Liverpool. Throughout his career, the 22-year-old has gone on loan to play for Portuguese team Famalicao, Bolton Wanderers, and Dundee. Based on the appearance of things, it appears like another brief stint away from Merseyside may be in the works.

Mostly a left-back, as the season goes on Beck may push Junior Firpo and provide insurance for Bogle on the right, with Sam Byram providing cover on the right. The Wales U21 international Beck is a bright talent who might move to Yorkshire to play with fellow countrymen Ampadu, James, and Rodon.
