Before the summer transfer deadline; Johan Lange may still approve ten moves from Tottenham for Ange Postecoglou.

Clubs have a limited amount of time left in the summer transfer window. Since the month is almost over, those sides who still need to finish transfers have until Friday, August 30 at 11 p.m. to do it.

Ange Postecoglou

Prior to the 2024–2025 season, Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham were quite active in the market, bringing in Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, and Dominic Solanke on long-term contracts. Timo Werner, who was on loan from RB Leipzig for the whole season, has also rejoined the team.

When it comes to assembling the team for the upcoming campaign, there is still much work to be done at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Johan Lange must make some departures since certain players must go permanently and others must be loaned out. What genuine agreements may be made before the end of the month?

Outgoings;

Giovani Lo Celso

Giovani Lo Celso will be looking to get out of the club permanently as soon as possible. The Argentina international had little playing time under Postecoglou in the last campaign, so it would be best if everyone parted ways. Thus far this summer, the midfield player has been linked to both Aston Villa and Real Betis, his old team.

Sergio Regulion

Clearly, Sergio Reguilon is not thinking along Postecoglou’s lines, and he has to make a change for the good of his career. Tottenham will be hoping to let him go permanently and that his loan deal doesn’t extend until the last few hours of the transfer window.

Manor Solomon

Because Manor Solomon did not play in the preseason, it is difficult to predict where he will gain minutes this season. The winger seems to be behind Mikey Moore in the team’s hierarchy after missing the team’s past three friendlies.

Solomon may choose to go elsewhere if an attacking option does not materialize before the end of the month since he needs to be playing following his injury issues from the previous season.

Ashley Phillips

Considering how little Ashley Phillips played in the preseason, a loan move seems inevitable. The young player did well at Plymouth Argyle during the second part of the previous season, and he may benefit much from a brief move to another team.

Alfie Devine

For the second summer in a row, Alfie Devine has truly pleased Postecoglou; yet, if he stays in north London this season, his possibilities will be restricted. Right now, a loan transfer is ideal for all parties involved, and Tottenham should have plenty of choices for the offensive midfield player.

After being in and out of the Plymouth squad throughout the last several months of the previous season, Devine might use another chance at the Championship.

Jamie Donley

Before the month is out, Jamie Donley could experience football on loan for the first time. The youth star needs regular senior football experience because he is too talented to be playing in Premier League 2.

Given his accomplishments in the previous season, the versatile midfielder, like many other young players at the club, should have no shortage of admirers.

Will Lankshear

Tottenham are likely to have a major choice to make over Will Lankshear after scoring for the first team in pre-season. Opportunities will be restricted with the arrival of Solanke and Richarlison’s return from injury but there might be a chance for him in the squad for Europa League games.

But for the time being, Tottenham must act in the player’s best interest. They may decide to keep the striker for the first half of the season before loaning him out in January, or they may make a last-minute choice.

Arrivals

New center back

The Lilywhites should ideally try to buy a center-back before the transfer deadline, having strengthened a priority position with the addition of Solanke from Bournemouth. Postecoglou acknowledged before the close of the previous season that he would want to have another center-back in his lineup for the upcoming campaign.

Ben Davies can play center back if needed, and Tottenham does have three strong choices in Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Radu Dragusin. But since Tottenham will be playing in Europe and because injuries and bans are a given, they need to have a backup plan to make sure they have enough coverage.

Udogie substitute

If Tottenham can get their guy, a Destiny Udogie substitute would also be a pleasant addition this transfer window. Although Davies is capable of filling in for his colleague, he regrettably lacks Udogie’s offensive prowess in the closing third.

In the two Bayern Munich games, Djed Spence performed admirably at left back, and Postecoglou may choose to use him in that position if necessary. But Tottenham is desperate for a left-back because he isn’t one by nature, so they won’t have the same problems as they did with Udogie missing the previous season.

Option for Additional Attacks

Before the summer ends, all Tottenham supporters will be hopeful that the team can add another offensive option. By the end of May, Tottenham’s position in the Premier League standings might significantly change depending on where they add that final piece of quality to their offensive areas.
