TOTTENHAM AND ‘EXCELLENT’ £13M PLAYER AGREE TO THREE-YEAR CONTRACT

Clement Lenglet, a defender for Barcelona, is reportedly close to signing a three-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur, according to ongoing rumours.

As he waits for a deal between Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona, Clement Lenglet has signed to a three-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur.

According to the Catalan tabloid SPORT, Barcelona is eager to get rid of Lenglet as quickly as possible.

Lenglet’s wages are a burden for Barcelona, and another loan to Tottenham with a buy option hasn’t been ruled out.

Lenglet is reportedly highly keen in staying and does have a verbal agreement on a three-year deal with Tottenham.

Lenglet‘s professionalism is reportedly valued by Spurs, but despite discussions about the deal during this week’s Joan Gamper Trophy match between the two clubs, there is still no agreement.

Tottenham has absolutely no intention of paying the roughly €15 million (£13 million) asking price that the La Liga team is asking for Lenglet.

Spurs are waiting because they are looking for a very low deal due to Lenglet’s enormous pay.

In fact, it has been reported that Barcelona is now making Lenglet available to other teams like AC Milan and Juventus.

Lenglet might leave Tottenham, or Barcelona might be luring Tottenham into making a decision right away.

Tottenham might return to Clement Lenglet if the Tosin Adarabioyo scenario persists.

Micky van de Ven, a centre defender from Wolfsburg, has been acquired by Tottenham this week.

Despite the availability of Joe Rodon, Davinson Sanchez, and Japhet Tanganga, Ange Postecoglou still desires one more player.

Lenglet, who Cristian Romero called “excellent,” may be the right player for Tottenham, but his performance last year wasn’t exactly stellar.

While on loan at Tottenham for the entire season, the Frenchman didn’t exactly fell any trees.

Lenglet‘s re-entry feels more like Tottenham’s easy choice than someone who would significantly improve Ange Postecoglou’s team.

Lenglet can be considered as a substitute for Tosin Adarabioyo of Fulham.

Although Tottenham is interested in Adarabioyo, according to Foot Mercato, he would like to move to Monaco this summer.

Tottenham might then switch its focus to less expensive defensive targets like Lenglet.
