Planning for the January transfer window has already begun for Tottenham Hotspur.
Even though the summer transfer market is still open, Tottenham executives are already selecting their winter targets.
Especially with the acquisitions of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, their midfield ranks are quite well supplied; nonetheless, they now have a number six on their radar.
Spurs are considering Angel Gomes.
Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly interested in acquiring Angel Gomes, an England and Lille midfield player.
This month, Gomes made his debut for Lee Carsley’s team in England, and many were pleased with his performances.
Liverpool and Newcastle United are also keeping an eye on the 24-year-old, whose contract expires in a year.
The Magpies, who are considering placing an offer in January, seem to be the most serious purchasers at this time.
The former wonderkid of Manchester United has no intention of staying on at Lille for another season.
Angel Gomes impressed Roy Keane.
Gomes, who the Mirror claims was always “destined to reach the top,” attracted attention during the international break, especially Roy Keane.
Keane stated on ITV, “You know what, the first thing you look at is he looked comfortable out there.”
“Obviously, the game, you could say it was dead and buried, but he looked comfortable out on the pitch. He looked comfortable in possession, he looked like he belonged out there, he’s had to go away and leave Manchester United, a big club, to go out for experience and get regular football.”
