Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic: The Unstoppable Force in Scottish Premiership and Beyond

Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side is setting the Scottish Premiership on fire this season, and they’re doing it with flair and dominance.

With 14 goals in the bag and not a single one conceded, Celtic have stormed to the top of the table, leaving rivals in their wake. Though it’s early days, the Hoops are playing like a team that will take something special to dethrone.

Former Rangers midfielder Kevin Thomson, for one, is sounding the alarm. According to him, Celtic haven’t even hit top gear yet—and when they do, the rest of the league, particularly Rangers, should be worried.

Thomson called the current squad a “scary” prospect for their rivals, especially since Rodgers has managed to maintain their winning form even after the departure of key midfielder Matt O’Riley.

And he’s not wrong. Celtic’s recruitment has been spot-on, bringing in quality reinforcements that have gelled seamlessly into Rodgers’ system. Even when they’re not at their peak, as shown in their recent 5-2 League Cup win over Falkirk, the team’s depth shines through.

James Forrest and Adam Idah stepped off the bench to contribute crucial goals, proving that even without star players like Kyogo Furuhashi, Celtic can still tear opponents apart.

Rodgers himself is well aware of the balancing act he’s performing. After their exhausting 5-1 Champions League victory against Slovan Bratislava, he made eight changes to his lineup against Falkirk, risking fluidity for fresh legs.

While the first hour of the game was a bit disjointed, Rodgers took full responsibility, showing humility but also confidence in his squad’s ability to adapt.

With big games looming St Johnstone in the league and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League the challenge now for Rodgers is to keep his team sharp across all competitions.

But if Celtic continue on this trajectory, Thomson’s warning could become a reality: Celtic may just be getting warmed up, and when they reach their peak, it’s going to take something truly extraordinary to stop them.
