Mohamed Diomande on the protests by Rangers and the true feelings of the Ibrox team toward Philippe Clement

Mohamed Diomande insists that Philippe Clement has the support of the Rangers team, which in turn has the support of the Rangers supporters. The 23-year-old Ivorian midfielder was a standout player in the 3-1 victory over St Johnstone, scoring and providing an assist to destroy Simo Valakari’s team.

However, the game was marred by a series of Union Bears protests, which put everyone under scrutiny, from the Ibrox tea lady to new Rangers CEO Patrick Stewart. Mohamed Diomande spoke at the press conference after the game at Ibrox and was questioned about the situation with Philippe Clement and the protests from the stadium.

Mohamed Diomande may have been instrumental in Rangers’ victory over St Johnstone, but the Ivory Coast international was questioned about the circumstances at Ibrox instead.

The Gers are currently 15 points behind in the Scottish Premiership, marking yet another season in which the team’s unimpressive players have failed to pose a significant threat for the championship.

Last season, Diomande was a member of the club that fell apart in the last minutes, but this season, Rangers‘ yearly breakdown occurred early in the holiday season.

Diomande feels that the majority of Rangers supporters are still very much with this youthful Ibrox team, despite the intense protests over the situation at full time.

“It went well, we won, and that’s what we wanted to do,” Diomande remarked.

I was so preoccupied that I didn’t really see anything about the protests; I completely missed what was happening.

However, I could hear a lot of noise, and it sounded as though the support was standing beside us.

I had little idea what was happening. To assist my teammates, I simply played my game today.

We only want to win the games, and since that’s what the club is all about, we know that winning will make them happy.

“I believe they have been supporting us, and as I mentioned, I had the impression they did so today as well.”

Last week, Rangers CEO Patrick Stewart backed Philippe Clement, and Mohamed Diomande has now followed suit.

The Ivorian has been the face of the club’s redesigned recruitment strategy since Belgian manager Clement signed Diomande from FC Nordjsaelland in Denmark last January.

Mohamed Diomande says the Rangers manager has the support of the team despite the increasing pressure on him.

The Ivorian has asked his teammates to “deliver” on the methods they are being taught in training, rather than accepting some responsibility for the predicament.

Diomande remarked, “I will say it’s all of us together.”

I trust him, and I’m sure the other players do too. He brought me in.

They have faith in his strategies and the contributions he want to make to the team; all we have to do is perform as he demonstrates throughout practice.

To reach our objectives, we must perform well on the field for him as well in order to get the most points possible.

“That the club supports the manager is good.” All of us are learning from one another and doing our best.

Because he is sharing his strategies, we pay attention to him, and we work as a team to get better.

He welcomed me in after I knew him at another club, and I make it a daily goal to learn from him.

“I just want to be the best version of myself and learn from him, the assistant, and my teammates.”
