Yagiz Sabuncuoglu claims that Besiktas made a last-ditch attempt to capture Rangers left-back Ridvan Yilmaz on the day of the transfer deadline.

Late on Monday, February 3, the Sports Digitale journalist announced on his X account that the Turkish powerhouses had made an offer for the 23-year-old left-back on a loan-to-buy basis.
Yilmaz has made 20 appearances for Rangers this season across all competitions, and it is understood that Bestikas has offered a loan fee of £830,000 for him.According to Sabuncuoglu, the Super Lig team has also offered a £2.5 million required buy clause, bringing the total package value to approximately £3.3 million.
But according to the Turkish publication, Yilmaz and Rangers have both turned down the offer.
According to reports, the Light Blues thought the fees were “insufficient.”

Rangers turn down Yilmaz’s deadline-day bid
Rangers cannot permit Yilmaz to depart at this hour on the day of the transfer deadline.Nothing truly stops Besiktas from attempting to re-sign their former left-back over the following eight days, since the Turkish transfer window doesn’t close until February 11th, giving them extra time to acquire Yilmaz.
Ibrox officials, however, will not approve Yilmaz‘s departure if they are unable to find a suitable left-back.
Yilmaz is a valuable backup who can fill in when needed, even if Jefte has been the main man in the left full-back position at Ibrox since his arrival in the summer.
Additionally, both of them are capable of playing more complex roles, which is quite helpful for the Light Blues in the event of an injury.
If Besiktas wants him, they will now have to wait until the summer.
