Daniel Farke has confirmed that Leeds United are ‘not too far away’ from bringing in new players.
Farke was speaking during his pre-match press conference before of Leeds United’s trip to Ipswich Town on Saturday, when the possibility of fresh signings was raised.
The Whites have only brought in four new players this summer, but Farke wants to enhance every outfield position.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Joel Piroe will come to Leeds from Swansea after the two teams agreed to a £12 million transfer fee.
Furthermore, according to Sky in Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Nadiem Amiri is close to joining after granting his permission for a transfer.
Farke claims that Leeds are close to making signings.
Farke has been clear about his desire to sign players this summer, but has been vague about when they could arrive.
Today, though, he has stated that Leeds are not far away, which is surely good news for fans.
“I don’t comment on any player,” he remarked. My only thought is about the game tomorrow. My only issue is this. No disappointment, but when I can’t fill the bench, I can’t hide the fact that I want to get stronger.
“We’re working hard, and we’re not too far away from new arrivals.” We’re on the right track, but it’s not easy. Our condition has substantially improved since last week. We are aware that the road ahead is long.
“We’ll see what happens.” We are putting forth a lot of effort. Our goal is to sign as quickly as possible, but I can’t promise anything until the weekend.”
While it is unclear whether players will be in before Ipswich, it appears that Leeds are finally moving in the window.
