Before the closing date of the summer transfer window, Manchester City may decide to change its mind on Matheus Nunes.
The midfielder, who has subsequently refused to practice with his team in an effort to force a move to City, reportedly turned down a £47 million bid from the Manchester club last week.
However, City‘s perspective in this most recent transfer drama has changed as a result of a recent development.
The Daily Mail recently reported that City are willing to back out of a deal for Nunes, a player who Pep Guardiola is a great fan of, because they only want to spend £55 million for him and Wolves are asking for over £60 million to sell him.
It’s understandable why Wolves would only want to sell Nunes for a sizeable money given that the Midlands club only purchased the 25-year-old last summer on a five-year agreement costing a club record fee of £38 million.
