‘Shocking,’ says Sky pundit, of the 26-year-old Tottenham player being among the worst in the Premier League.

Richarlison has been dubbed one of the Premier League’s worst attackers by Jay Bothroyd.

On Sky Sports‘ Saturday Social, the commentator was asked to assess every striker in the division from A to E, and he made it clear that he doesn’t rate the Brazilian at all.

Richarlison

Indeed, as soon as he was asked about Richarlison, he awarded him an E, claiming that his record is dismal and that he blows too many opportunities.Bothroyd did not give the attacker any leeway, arguing that his overall play and intellect on the pitch are equally poor, and that he has significantly underperformed for the money Spurs paid for him.

Richarlison

One of the worst

Bothroyd rendered his decision on Richarlison.

“I believe he’s an E. I believe he has a dismal track record, since he blows numerous opportunities. “He works hard, but I can only put him in E because of his overall play and intelligence on the field,” Bothroyd said.

“An E for 27 appearances and one goal for Tottenham.” In terms of his price tag and what he’s done at Tottenham, he’s underperformed; as a number nine, you have to score goals.”

Richarlison

Harsh

This is quite severe.

Yes, Richarlison’s Spurs record is dismal, but he is Brazil’s number nine, and the majority of his 27 appearances have come off the bench. We’re not saying Richarlison is the best striker in the league, but there are undoubtedly worse strikers in the league than the Brazilian.

This appears to be a retaliatory move in the aftermath of Richarlison’s worst season to date.
