Graeme Souness makes giant Premier League statement with Arsenal and Tottenham prediction clear

In the Premier League title race, Liverpool icon Graeme Souness has disregarded calls for Tottenham and Arsenal.
Former Liverpool player Graeme Souness believes the club will finish first or second this season, making a bold prediction ahead of the Premier League’s return. The Reds began the weekend just two points behind first-placed Manchester City, having won their last three games after drawing with Chelsea on the opening day.

They turned things around against Bournemouth and Newcastle, winning both games before defeating Aston Villa before the break. After the first month of games, Jurgen Klopp’s team were equal with Arsenal and Tottenham and in a good position.

However, it had not been the same Liverpool that had competed for the title in the previous five years, with unexpected flaws developing in their game. However, Souness sees them as one of the top two towards the end of the season, which leaves at least one of Arsenal or Tottenham on the outside looking in, having both been regarded as potential party crashers in the title fight.

“I’ll make a bold statement about the Premier League race, which resumes today: Liverpool will finish first or second this season,” he wrote in his Mail Online column. “I see a more powerful Liverpool.” Alexis MacAllister and Dominik Szoboszlai appear to comprehend the rigours of club football.

“Manchester City’s dominance in our football requires a challenge, and Liverpool can provide it.” They pose the greatest threat to Pep Guardiola’s quest for four consecutive titles.”

Arsenal, who finished runners-up last season, recruited well over the summer, and have found form under Mikel Arteta in the early stages of the new season, may feel offended to be left out of the conversation. Fulham manager Marco Silva clearly believes so.

“We have a lot of respect for Arsenal.” “In my opinion, they will be even stronger than last season,” he stated following last month’s 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium. “The quality they add to their squad is impressive, and I believe they will be contenders again because of the quality they have, the manager they have, and all of that.”

Roy Hodgson concurs. “We realise we’re playing against a very good team, a well-organised team, and a team that everyone expects to be fighting for honours at the end of the season,” he stated after his Crystal Palace team lost 1-0 to Arsenal.

Tottenham, on the other hand, have been the season’s surprise package. They went into the weekend unblemished and as one of the best entertainers in the league so far. Although they are not considered title contenders, they have been regarded as one of the best teams this season.

“It’s knowing that when you play these teams, they’re very good teams and it’s difficult to get anything from them,” Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill said following the 5-2 thrashing at Turf Moor. “Tottenham have started this season very, very well, and they’ve recruited some really good players.”

His manager, Vincent Kompany, was equally complimentary. “I’ve been a long-time fan of Ange Postecoglou. “His team plays the same way in Japan, Celtic, and now Tottenham,” he explained. “These executives have a very clear vision of what they want to accomplish. His aggressiveness and competitive spirit will eventually lead to results. I enjoy watching his teams, and I’m confident Spurs supporters will as well.”

If, as Souness believes, Liverpool and Manchester City will be at the top, Spurs and their north London rivals will have a lot to say about it.
