Joe Rodon was lauded for his cool defensive performance in Leeds United’s win over Millwall on Sunday.
Rodon will be trying to restart his career on loan at Leeds after failing to make an impression at Tottenham since joining the club three years ago.The centre-back’s loan spell at Rennes did not go as planned last season, but he has made a good start to his time at Elland Road.
The Wales international started for Daniel Farke’s team at The Den, where they came away with a much-needed 3-0 victory, the Whites’ second in six Championship games.
The game was more closer than it appears, with Leeds having to defend a 1-0 lead until the 77th minute until a couple of late scores put the game out of reach.
Joe Rodon was Man of the Match for Leeds United
Rodon’s performance was lauded by former Leeds defender Jon Newsome, who called the on-loan Spurs star’s play “outstanding.”
He stated on BBC Radio Leeds “Outstanding. Absolutely fantastic. Joe Rodon was my Man of the Match. He has his mind set on everything. It was a different subject. It was very amazing.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Rodon had a shaky start to the season, which was to be expected considering his lack of playing time in recent years, but the centre-back now appears to be getting into his stride and displaying the brilliance we saw from him at Swansea.
