What James Maddison did on Sunday after an Arsenal supporter threw a bottle at him has just recently come to light.

Tottenham Hotspur earned a 2-2 draw against Arsenal in Sunday’s Premier League match at the Emirates.

Spurs fell behind in the 26th minute on an own goal by Cristian Romero, but Son Heung-min equalised three minutes later.

Bukayo Saka converted a penalty for Arsenal on 54 minutes, but Son equalised shortly after the interval.

The game ended with four goals divided between the two bitter rivals, who split the spoils. It was an exciting and at times fiery encounter, as is typical of North London derbies.

Tottenham‘s YouTube page has recently released a Matchday Uncut video, which contains a hilarious scene featuring James Maddison around six minutes in.

After assisting Son for Spurs‘ opening goal, the 26-year-old was seen facing the Arsenal fans as he made his way towards his teammates who were celebrating.

After a bottle lands near his feet, Maddison appears to exaggerate his steps before turning to face the crowd – perhaps smiling – once more.

Was the Tottenham player ‘giving it’ to Arsenal fans? If he was, such kind of stuff would definitely go over well with Spurs fans.

Maddison has been a fantastic addition for Spurs, with two goals and four assists in his first six league appearances.

Tottenham as a whole appear to have been re-energized by Ange Postecoglou‘s arrival, and he certainly passed the test, leaving N5 with a point.

Spurs‘ next Premier League match is against Liverpool on Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
