According to Sportske Novosti, Ivan Perisic is anticipated to return to Hajduk Split in January as part of the negotiations between Tottenham and the Croatian club for Luka Vuskovic.
Tottenham revealed on Monday that they have reached an agreement with Hajduk for Vuskovic’s transfer, which will take place in the summer of 2025.
Spurs announced that the 16-year-old, who is one of the world’s most highly ranked talents in his age group, has agreed to a contract extension with N17 until 2030.
Perisic expected to move the other way
According to Sportske Novosti, Daniel Levy and Hajduk president Luksa Jakobusic had been negotiating for months before reaching an agreement for the teenager.
As part of the arrangement, Spurs will allow Perisic to return to his childhood club when the transfer window opens. The two parties allegedly established a’verbal understanding’ that the 34-year-old, who is under contract with Tottenham until next summer, would be permitted to go to Stadion Poljud mid-season.

This arrangement would have most likely been completed before Perisic sustained an ACL injury that will keep him out until at least March or April.
In fact, I’m wondering if Perisic’s injury was the reason for the delay in announcing the Vuskovic trade, with the two clubs having to slightly change the conditions of the agreement.
