Murillo, the Nottingham Forest defender, has discussed his goals for the team this season with the coaching staff.

Murillo, 21, arrived at the Reds this summer from Corinthians in a reported £13.7 million move. He brought with him a slew of positive comments from his own country.

He has made two appearances since joining the team in the summer, claiming Man of the Match against Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace just before the international break.

Murillo discussed his goals for the remainder of the 2023–24 season, along with those of the coaching staff, in an interview with the Forest media team.

“Today, I spoke with a member of the coaching staff, and he inquired about my thoughts regarding the team, the club, and our potential.

“I told him that we can accomplish great things with the players we have if we can bring them all together and play our games together, supporting and encouraging one another, giving it our all for each other.”

A 21-year-old defender adjusting to the Premier League’s demands in such a short amount of time is unusual.

It is difficult to remain unenthusiastic about Murillo’s potential after his first two games wearing a Forest jersey.

However, for the time being, both the 21-year-old and the fan base must remain composed. He is without a doubt a fantastic talent, but he will make mistakes and have poor games just like any other player his age. However, the Brazilian appears to be headed for a long and successful career with the team.
