Tottenham Hotspur forward Brennan Johnson thanked Tottenham teammate Pape Matar Sarr on Instagram.
On Monday night, the 21-year-old Tottenham midfielder put up another strong display for Ange Postecoglou‘s team.
Sarr provided Spurs with lots of energy in midfield once more, and came up with a fantastic defensive header as Raul Jimenez threatened.
The Senegal international posted a snapshot of himself from the game to Instagram with the words “another win at home, let’s focus on what’s next!”
Johnson replied with a hand heart emoji, which received over 400 likes as of Tuesday evening.
Pape Matar Sarr is one of the Spurs‘ numerous success stories.
Spurs fans had to wait a bit after signing Sarr before seeing him in action.
Tottenham loaned him back to Metz for the entire 2021-22 season, per the terms of his contract.
Sarr was gradually eased into action for Spurs during the 2022-23 season, making 17 appearances.
With only 645 minutes of football under his belt, including in the Premier League 2, he has only made five starts.
Sarr, on the other hand, has become a regular starter under Ange Postecoglou and is taking the Premier League by storm.
Despite the fact that it is not yet November, the player has played nearly as many minutes this season as he did last.
It’s terrifying to think about how excellent Sarr could become in the coming years as his game improves and he gains more experience.
Brennan Johnson, likewise, appears to be a great talent. He’s had some injury concerns this year, which has slowed his progress, but there’s little doubt he’ll become amazing when he progresses at N17.
