Rasmus Kristensen, on loan from Leeds United, has been chastised for his performance for Roma in their 1-0 loss to Inter Milan on Sunday.
Kristensen received a 5/10 from Forza Roma for his performance in the San Siro, with his inability to prevent crosses into the box proving ‘fatal’ in the final 10 minutes.
The Danish international was making his first Roma appearance since a 4-1 loss to Genoa just over a month ago, with Rick Karsdorp taking his position at right-wing back in recent weeks.
However, his time away from the team has evidently done him no good, with his performance once again drawing criticism from the media, a reoccurring problem in his time at Roma.
Roma had held out for 80 minutes at Inter until Kristensen enabled Federico Dimarco to get another cross into the box, finding Marcus Thuram to tap home after escaping Diego Llorente‘s attention.
Kristensen is being chastised in the Italian media.
Forza Roma remarked on Kristensen‘s performance in the defeat, saying that he contributed ‘nothing’ going forward, but was possibly much worse going the other way.
“Kristensen – 5 points” It’s the evening’s biggest surprise. On that side, he has Dimarco, who doesn’t laugh and often dashes away from him, almost scoring in the first half. The Dane tries to flex his muscles by requesting assistance from Mancini.
“In the push phase, he is nothing, just like everyone else. He wastes a few counterattacks, however, and deteriorates in the second half, allowing three crosses to Dimarco, the third of which is fatal.”
The fact that Dimarco was able to attempt 12 crosses in 90 minutes is a revealing figure, and most of that was due to Kristensen’s poor defending.
Having previously been left out of the Europa League team, it is difficult to see them extending his term at Roma, especially given his poor performances.
Leeds can only hope that someone else will come in for him because it is apparent that he is not good enough for the highest level.
