Club urged to sign Brighton player because they require “more fighters” – He is aware that he has “a heart” for his former side.

Ajax should make a quick move for Brighton and Hove Albion defender Joel Veltman, who is exactly the type of player they require to get out of their current situation.

Dico Koppers, a former Ajax youth product, believes the Brighton product would be an ideal signing for the Dutch giants.

Ajax currently sits at the bottom of the Eredivisie table, having won just one of their eight games this season.

The former Champions League finalists are in the midst of an institutional crisis, with the manager having already been replaced, as well as several board members and members of the club’s upper hierarchy.

There is no doubt that they are in crisis at the moment, with concerns about the current squad and transfer business, as well as the club’s overall direction, which is currently downward.
Moving forward, significant change is required, and Koppers believes that one obvious option is to bring back players who are familiar with the club, such as Veltman.

“You need more fighters.” “You don’t really have them in the team right now, but the boys will have to pick that up,” he said.

“For example, Joel Veltman, who now plays for Brighton & Hove Albion, would be a good addition.” But, of course, he’s in a good place there. However, you must consider those types of boys.

“Boys who have a heart for the club and recognize that it is a crisis even if you don’t win seven or so games.” Now you get the impression that the boys are aware of the problem, but it is much deeper with the fans and the club than they realize.”
