Pascal Groß of Brighton and Hove Albion has denied knowing anything about rumours linking him to a move to Eintracht Frankfurt, but he has admitted the club is a “great, big, traditional club.”
The midfielder has been speaking to various German media outlets as he prepares to join the German national team for the international break.
This season, Groß has been a standout for Brighton, reaffirming his status as a key player under Roberto de Zerbi.
He’s a crucial part of the plan under the Italian boss, which has apparently not gone unnoticed in his native Germany.
Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly interested in signing the Brighton midfielder as they continue to look to strengthen their squad.
According to the report, Groß is a long-term target for the club, who held talks with him about a potential move in 2022 and haven’t stopped watching him since.
However, it appears that the Brighton man is unaware of the interest, as he dismissed questions about it in comments today.
“I don’t know anything about it,” he is quoted as saying by Sport Buzzer.
“Basically, I keep a close eye on the Bundesliga.” Contact with Germany was maintained at all times. I watch a lot of sports.
“Eintracht has done extremely well in recent years, with the Europa League victory being the pinnacle.” This is a fantastic, large, traditional club.”
