Paul Heckingbottom is interested in a ‘sad’ Leeds player for Sheffield United- Selfish agenda

After failing to make an impact at Fenerbahce since joining in the summer, Ryan Kent has emerged as a target for Leeds United; however, Paul Heckingbottom of Sheffield United is also considering him.

Ryan Kent

Kent, 27, has long been linked with a move to Elland Road, with Marcelo Bielsa being a fan of the winger. He left Rangers for Fenerbahce in the summer, but he is struggling.

He has made 14 appearances for Fener, but just seven starts, complete 90 minutes on one occasion. For the Turkish giants, Kent has one goal and two assists. A lack of structure.

According to TeamTalk, Leeds are interested in bringing Kent to Elland Road by raiding Fenerbahce. Rangers and Bournemouth are also interested. According to the Turkish website Miliyet, they are not the only clubs interested.

Kent is thought to be ‘unhappy’ with his lack of playing time. He is thought to be ‘flirting’ with Sheffield United and is’ready to depart’. Kent was on loan at Barnsley and worked for Heckingbottom.

Sheffield United is interested in Ryan Kent, who has been linked with Leeds United.

Kent then went on loan to Rangers before signing permanently, while Heckingbottom convinced the Leeds board – while still at Oakwell – that he would do a job at Elland Road.

So there’s some truth to Heckingbottom’s desire to entice Kent back to Sheffield United and establish a reunion. Kent has the talent to make an impact in the Premier League, but he needs game time.

Leeds‘ interest is surprising, given the club’s five wide options in Willy Gnonto, Cree Summerville, Dan James, Jaidon Anthony, and Ian Poveda. But what if one or two of them leave?
