The 49ers want to sign a gem for Leeds who is highly regarded in his home country.

Daniel Farke is said to be eager to open his chequebook in the January window…

According to a report, Leeds United are in good shape to return to the Premier League this season and may be ready to open their wallet for a new signing in January.

Transfer news from Leeds United…
Daniel Farke has restored trust at Elland Road after being appointed in the summer with the goal of winning promotion from the Championship at the first attempt. Leeds have played 16 games since returning to the English second tier, yielding 31 points, leaving the Whites in third place ahead of their trip to face Rotherham United on Friday evening at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Nonetheless, the collective focus at Elland Road will soon shift to potential incomings and outgoings in the January transfer window as Farke looks to shape his squad in an appropriate manner in order to see their promotion efforts through.

According to Voetbalkrant, Leeds United are interested in signing Hammarby defender Nathaniel Adjei; however, they will face competition from Anderlecht, Rangers, Queens Park Rangers, and Middlesbrough. Recent reports claim that Pascal Struijk could leave Elland Road in January, with Belgian giants Club Brugge reportedly interested in the Antwerp-born star.

Ronny Deila‘s men are thought to be looking for “added value players” in the coming months, and Struijk has emerged as a target who appears to meet the criteria as an experienced “leader” in central defence; however, it would cost around £13 million to lure him away from Yorkshire, according to the outlet.

According to a new report, Farke may look to strengthen his Elland Road forward line in January by bringing in a talented young forward.

Leeds’s gaze Luke Baartman, a Cape Town Spurs prospect,

According to The Scottish Sun, Leeds are interested in signing Cape Town Spurs striker Luke Baartman, one of South Africa‘s most highly rated prospects.

Other unnamed English clubs are also interested in the 17-year-old, while Scottish champions Celtic have scouted Baartman and identified him as a starlet with a high ceiling who could make an impact north of the border. Despite only making his first-team debut in October, Baartman is clearly someone with a bright future in the game, having been capped by South Africa at Under-17 level.

As his stock continues to rise, he is the second-youngest player to score in South Africa‘s top flight this season, and he could now be set for a dream move to the United Kingdom; however, it remains to be seen where he would have a better pathway towards gaining regular senior minutes between Leeds United and Celtic.

Nonetheless, the Elland Road faithful will be heartened to learn that their recruitment team and 49ers Enterprises are searching far and wide for future talent from around the world.
