According to Sky‘s football finance expert Kieran Maguire, Leeds United could be in line for an off-field boost that will allow them to upgrade some financially rewarding areas at Elland Road.

Leeds United were held to a 1-1 draw by Rotherham United in the Championship on Friday, leaving Daniel Farke’s side third in the table with 32 points from 17 games. According to Leeds Live, Whites defender Liam Cooper hobbled off in the closing minutes of their match against Rotherham and will be assessed further to determine his availability for Swansea City’s visit.

Maguire told Football Insider that Leeds and the 49ers could look to expand Elland Road to over 50,000 seats following a report from the outlet that the Whites are set to open talks with US investors about another minority sale.
He now believes that the money gained from this will be used to expand Elland Road and improve certain aspects of the matchday experience, as he stated: “There should be no concerns over this.” Since taking over the club, the 49ers Enterprise has had a strategy.”
