‘I’m working hard in silence…’ Eric Dier is blown away by a £25 million Tottenham teammate who has yet to play this season.

Eric Dier paid respect to Ryan Sessegnon on social media, complimenting his Tottenham Hotspur teammate for working so hard despite his injuries.

Dier took to Instagram to praise the 23-year-old, who has yet to play for Ange Postecoglou‘s side this season.

Ryan Sessegnon has had a string of bad luck while at Tottenham. Spurs appeared to have scored a huge coup when they signed the £25 million youngster after he came into the scene.

Unfortunately, he has yet to truly establish himself. And injury has undoubtedly played a role in his limited 56 appearances for the club in all competitions.

According to the Daily Mail, he had surgery on another hamstring problem in the summer. While it was announced in September that Sessegnon was back in light training, the kid has yet to return.

Certainly, Eric Dier has been impressed by Sessegnon’s efforts at Hotspur Way to return to the pitch.

Dier captioned a photo of himself with his buddy ‘always working hard in silence’ on his Instagram account.

The opportunity that Tottenham’s star required has arrived while he is on the sidelines.

Unfortunately, Tottenham’s team is currently ravaged by injury, with Rodrigo Bentancur the most recent casualty. In some ways, this may make Sessegnon‘s condition even more painful.

Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil are getting opportunities that they did not have at the start of the season. If Postecoglou had everyone available, you’d imagine neither player would be in his starting lineup.

As a result, adversity may serve as a watershed moment for one or two athletes. And that was maybe just what Sessegnon needed after such bad luck in North London.
