Wolves are allegedly competing with Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Denmark international Victor Nelsson.
Following the departure of Nathan Collins, Wolves are now on the lookout for a new central defender, according to Ekstrabladet.
Collins just left to join Brentford for a fee of £23 million.
Julen Lopetegui now has only three centre-back options after Conor Coady was transferred to Leicester City.
And it appears that the team is now interested in Nelsson, who currently plays for Galatasaray in Turkey.
Wolves are interested in Victor Nelsson but face competition from Tottenham.
Wolves are reportedly interested in Nelsson, who has 10 caps for Denmark.
Nelson has recently finished a’magnificent season’ with Galatasaray, according to Ekstrabladet.
He was a fixture at the back and helped his team win the Super Lig title. Gala had the best defensive record in the league, surrendering only 27 goals in 36 games.
Nelsson had previously been linked with a move to Wolves.
Wolves reportedly approached Gala about a £20 million trade for Nelsson last summer. Willy Boly was connected with a transfer to Nottingham Forest at the time.
Nelsson appears to be back on Wolves’ radar.
The problem for Wolves, though, is that according to Ekstrabladet’s report, the Dane would want to leave Wolves for Spurs.
Wolves would do well to sign Victor Nelsson.
Wolves are now considering Nelsson‘s prospective signing once more.
Additionally, he would be a terrific addition.
He was Gala’s linchpin when they won the league championship the previous year.
He averages 3.2 aerial duel victories per 90, according to his WhoScored statistics, demonstrating his superiority in the air. His 3.3 clearances per 90 clearances from previous term show that he is also frequently available to remove danger.
With an average pass completion rate of 85.7%, he is also excellent in the passing game.
Hopefully Wolves can persuade the player that a transfer to Molineux would be preferable to a transfer to Spurs.
