Sam Greenwood, a Leeds prodigy currently on loan at Middlesbrough, is reportedly attracting Premier League interest.
After joining the Riverside from Elland Road in August, the 21-year-old has had an impressive start to the season. He has four goals in 13 Championship appearances for Michael Carrick, who has praised the former Arsenal youngster.
Premier League clubs West Ham United, Fulham, Crystal Palace, and Brentford are all keeping an eye on him, according to TEAMtalk. Leicester City and Southampton are also said to be keeping an eye on his progress in the Championship.
According to reports, Middlesbrough has the option to make Greenwood‘s loan move permanent for a fee of £1.5 million. However, securing his services may be difficult if top-tier interest emerges.
Farke said of Greenwood ahead of the recent match between Leeds and Middlesbrough: “We were not just thinking selfishly to keep him.” We know it’s difficult for him to get minutes (at Leeds), but it’s critical that he grows. You have no regrets because you want a player to succeed.
“He has the opportunity to look back on the season as a really good loan, and if he does that, it will be perfect.” The main point is that he does not score against us; this will not happen, and he will not in the second leg.
“In other words, it is advantageous when I consider some of the end-products he has delivered against some of our table opponents.” It’s very beneficial right now.”
