Borussia Dortmund is interested in Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilón in the January transfer window, since his loan at Manchester United appears to be coming to an end.
According to Sky Germany, as provided by Fussball Transfers, Dortmund is looking to add a left-back to their squad for the second half of the season.
Dortmund‘s priority, according to them, is to add a left-back to their team, and ‘there is interest’ in Reguilón, who is presently on loan at Manchester United from Tottenham.
However, the Spaniard has a ‘contractual commitment’ in that deal that allows him to quit the loan early, which, considering his lack of playing time under Erik ten Hag, appears to be an option.
“We discussed the left-back position in the summer because we know Ramy will not be available to us during the Africa Cup of Nations.” “We’re thinking internally, but we’re also thinking about bringing someone in from outside,” coach Edin Terzic confirmed today in a press conference.
The Tottenham midfielder is being considered alongside Real Madrid’s Fran Garcia, although Reguilón is seen as far more attainable.
A prospective trade is contingent on him and Spurs reaching an agreement, although Dortmund is interested.
