Tottenham’s £22 million player is now set to sign a new contract

While the attention at Tottenham Hotspur under Ange Postecoglou is swiftly shifting to incoming transfers, there remain a few contracts to iron out.

Destiny Udogie recently signed a new contract with the club, which is a major boost given his strong start to the season.

And, considering how methodical Spurs‘ recruitment and mentality appear to be under Postecoglou, they will want to stay on top of their contracts.

Having said that, Son Heung-min, a player who has excelled under Postecoglou, now only has 18 months left on his Tottenham deal.

In an interview with GIVEMESPORT, journalist Paul Brown expressed his belief that Son would be glad to sign a new contract alongside Pape Matar Sarr.

“They’ve both become really important players for Spurs,” Brown remarked.

“I don’t believe anyone anticipated how important Sarr would become, but Son was always going to be a key player after Kane left.”

“I think being able to tie them both down long term would be a huge boost for Spurs, and it doesn’t appear that will be an issue because they’re both happy there.”

“You can see that under Postecoglou players are playing with a smile on their faces again and I think getting them to sign long-term won’t be an issue really.”

According to a journalist, Tottenham’s Son Heung-min will sign a new deal under Ange Postecoglou.
Obtaining these new contracts, of course, might be just as vital as any new additions in January.

Postecoglou is expected to make three acquisitions in the coming month: a center-back, a midfielder, and a forward.

With one £40 million target apparently willing to join Tottenham, fans will be hoping that things move fast at the turn of the year.

Furthermore, as important as these signings are, Son’s new contract should not be overlooked.

Tottenham and Postecoglou do not need a situation in which Son, who is worth £22 million, has a year left on his contract next summer.

Although the Spurs captain appears to be content, speculation is unavoidable, and major European clubs will be interested.

Daniel Levy has a lot to do in the coming months, and it will be critical to the club’s upward trajectory.

And securing these new contracts shouldn’t be forgotten.
