A 15-goal star is being evaluated by Sheffield United, Leeds United, and Sheffield Wednesday as a potential transfer target.

With “medical underway,” the 15-goal sensation who has been linked to Sheffield United, Leeds United, and Sheffield Wednesday is getting close to making a deal.

Louie Barry, the 15-goal prodigy who caught the attention of Sheffield United and their city rivals on Wednesday this month, is getting close to joining one of their local rivals in the Championship. With a goal-filled first half of the current season while on loan at Stockport County from Aston Villa, the 21-year-old burst into the spotlight.

Barry was clearly attracted to the Blades, who were searching for a left winger who could also play up front, but half of the second division was also interested in signing him, including Wednesday’s city rivals and Leeds United, who were vying for promotion.

Barry is now expected to join Championship rivals Hull City after the Blades’ interest was sparked by their acquisition of former loan star Ben Brereton Diaz.

As the transfer search continues, United is focusing on a “very important” defender.
United issued an ultimatum on Wednesday over the future of the transfer target.

Blades are closing in on a crucial transaction as the Choudhury transfer delay is revealed.

Barry is reportedly going through a medical before being switched for the second half of the season, according to reports from Humberside. United has already played the Tigers twice this season, so if things works out, they won’t have to face their former target in person. However, before the season ends, Ruben Selles’ team must still play Burnley and Sunderland, the Blades’ promotion opponents – as well as wednesday.

Before making headlines in 2019 with an eye-catching move to Barcelona, Barry played for West Brom for ten years as a young player. After signing a new contract in the summer of 2023 after moving to Villa for an initial price of around £900,000, he joined Stockport for the first of two loan stints.

Manager Unai Emery revealed, “He trained with us and we are going to make a plan with him, an overall plan,” following the decision to summon him back to Villa Park. He is a tremendously gifted player who is improving, in my opinion. While on loan, he has been doing really well.

We might now collaborate with him on a new strategy. He improved while on loan since he was scoring a lot of goals. He only worked out with us today and yesterday. We will, of course, collaborate with him to develop a sound club strategy.
