A journalist describes what Guglielmo Vicario did following Tottenham’s victory over Nottingham Forest

Tottenham now has back-to-back Premier League victories after defeating Nottingham Forest 2-0 at the City Ground on Friday night.

Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou was under fire after losing four games in a row after taking an early lead. However, it appears that Spurs are truly back to their former selves, and they are vying for a spot in the top four.

Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski scored to give the north London team all three points. Spurs finished with 10 men after Yves Bissouma was sent off in the 70th minute.

Alasdair Gold, a football London journalist, wrote on X that Spurs custodian Guglielmo Vicario appeared to have summoned all Spurs defenders to celebrate the clean sheet.

It was their first clean sheet in eight games since a 2-0 victory over Fulham in October.

“After the final whistle, Guglielmo Vicario appeared to call together the Spurs defenders in a huddle to celebrate their clean sheet together,” Gold wrote in his article.

A huge victory
Spurs are currently level on points with Manchester City, despite having played one fewer game. Forest is in serious difficulty as a result of his defeat. They are 16th in the rankings, five points clear of the bottom three, but have only won one of their previous 13 games in the English Premier League.

Dejan Kulusevski

The Spurs were dominant throughout the game, led by Kulusevski’s outstanding play. Richarlison provided a cross near the end of the first half before converting into a scorer with a strong shot from close range.

Yves Bissouma

After Bissouma was sent out for a VAR violation, Forest generated some pretty good chances, and Vicario, 27, had to make one or two stops to keep Spurs’ clean sheet.

Tottenham will meet Everton next week in what promises to be another exciting match.
