A stunning transfer for a €37 million midfielder is about to be finalized by Nottingham Forest.

Ibrahim Sangare, a star player for PSV Eindhoven, is about to join Nottingham Forest.

According to earlier reports, the Dutch side rejected Forest’s offer of €34 million (£29 million) plus bonuses. He won’t be allowed to leave PSV until his €37 million release clause is satisfied.

After a few hours pass, it appears that the Reds have satisfied the Eredivisie team’s demands because, according to journalist Rik Elfrink, PSV is expected to receive more than €35 million for the midfielder. Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, adds that the fee plus add-ons comes to about €36/€37 million.

The clubs are still debating the payment system, though. Sangare is therefore scheduled to leave for the UK this afternoon and miss PSV’s training session.

Brennan Johnson, a forward for Forest, is anticipated to travel to London for a medical before a potential transfer to Tottenham.
