After being given a deadline, it seems like Spurs owner Daniel Levy will have the last word on a partially agreed-upon Tottenham deal, according to a report.
Most of the transfer rumors circulating right now about Tottenham include their persistent pursuit of Dominic Solanke. Direct talks to recruit the striker have started with Bournemouth, and TEAMtalk has gathered that Spurs are willing to offer £60 million.
Solanke is protected by a £65 million release clause that can only be activated by unnamed clubs. Currently, it’s uncertain if Tottenham is eligible to use the provision. But that’s not really important at this time considering the circumstances. In any event, Spurs intend to make a bid that is less than £65 million.
Speaking about the player, Solanke is apparently keen to sign with Tottenham. The most recent details regarding that transfer are provided here. There is another Spurs transfer that may cross the line before Solanke’s potential move makes headlines. Tottenham intends to move Brazilian right back Emerson Royal to AC Milan, as the two parties have long ago come to a personal terms agreement.
More than a month ago, a five-year contract was finalized, with Emerson expected to make approximately £50,000 per week upon completion of his transfer to the San Siro. But it has been more difficult to reach a consensus on the transfer cost, with Spurs initially expecting to make €25 million.
Milan made it apparent that they had no plans to comply with that request. Nevertheless, following right-back Alessandro Florenzi’s catastrophic knee injury during the preseason, they did improve on their initial offer. Milan increased their proposal from €10–€12 million to approximately €15 million plus an additional €2 million.
Tottenham made a move to acquire Emerson Royal.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano declared on Wednesday that there would be a new, potentially final round of talks between the two teams. Whether or not those discussions have yielded outcomes is still unknown. According to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan is unwilling to raise its offer any more.
Milan intends to employ Emerson as their starting right-back when he signs. They also hope that Emerson will be ready for their Serie A debut against Torino on Saturday, August 17.
Milan thinks Tottenham will finally accept the current offer, which is €15 million with €2 million in add-ons, the report claims.
