Aberdeen manager Barry Robson has addressed the future of striker Duk, who has been linked with moves to Leeds United and Southampton this summer.
According to the Scotsman on Wednesday (16 August), Robson has no plans to sell the Cape Verde international this summer.
The 23-year-old scored 16 SPFL goals last season, and his club wants to keep him, with their manager stating that he will stay.
“You can get one phone call, ‘Oh, somebody is linked with him,’ and then it goes in the press, and we all believe it, don’t we?” Robson added. I, on the other hand, do not.
“I’ve seen everything before. Duk is an Aberdeen player, he is a terrific player, we love him here, and he will stay.”
On August 16, the Sunday Mirror’s Darren Witcoop alleged that the Whites were planning a bid for him as well.

A move to England, and possibly the Premier League, is something that many Scottish footballers find difficult to resist.
Duk understands that his career can only progress so far in that league, and that if he wants to distinguish himself on the European scene, he must relocate to England.
Leeds have spent three seasons in the Premier League and one season in the Championship, but with new owners and a new manager, they are an intriguing project.
It remains to be seen whether he stands up to the Aberdeen leadership if a deal is made for him and whether the Whites agree on personal terms.
There’s a good probability the deal will go through because Leeds has the money to spend and is anxious for a new striker.
