According to a financial expert, the 49ers are looking to “upgrade” in a key area at Leeds.

Leeds have made a strong start to the Championship season…

According to Sky‘s football finance expert Kieran Maguire, Leeds United could be in line for an off-field boost that will allow them to upgrade some financially rewarding areas at Elland Road.

Leeds United gear up for the visit of Swansea City…

Leeds United were held to a 1-1 draw by Rotherham United in the Championship on Friday, leaving Daniel Farke’s side third in the table with 32 points from 17 games. The Whites did, however, gain ground on Ipswich Town, who lost 2-0 to West Bromwich Albion the following day, leaving a seven-point gap between the Tractor Boys and Leeds United heading into a midweek round of fixtures.

Farke will have to prepare his team for the challenge of facing Swansea City on Wednesday night, who are 17th in the Championship and have not won any of their last three matches. According to Leeds Live, Whites defender Liam Cooper hobbled off in the closing minutes of their match against Rotherham and will be assessed further to determine his availability for Swansea City’s visit.

“Liam Cooper, there was a cramp he also felt a bit in his hamstring,” Farke said of his knock. We need to examine him, but there could be a minor injury. I’m hoping to have him available on Wednesday, but we’ll have to wait for further evaluation.”

Stuart Dallas, Djed Spence, and Jamie Shackleton may also be absent, but Leeds United will have a strong squad to choose from as they look to return to winning ways at home.

Away from the pitch, football finance expert Maguire has revealed that the Yorkshire club may be about to make some changes.

Leeds owners are now expected to invest in Elland Road.

Maguire told Football Insider that Leeds and the 49ers could look to expand Elland Road to over 50,000 seats following a report from the outlet that the Whites are set to open talks with US investors about another minority sale.

He now believes that the money gained from this will be used to expand Elland Road and improve certain aspects of the matchday experience, as he stated: “There should be no concerns over this.” Since taking over the club, the 49ers Enterprise has had a strategy.”

“They intend to diversify the ownership portfolio in order to either bring in more money to recoup what they paid to Radrizzani or to provide funding for infrastructure costs.” Leeds United have a large fan base and would benefit from a 50,000-plus capacity stadium that is fit for the twenty-first century.”

“While Elland Road is a fantastic stadium with a fantastic atmosphere, they need to upgrade their hospitality sectors in terms of prawn sandwiches.” That’s where the money is these days in football.”

Despite their relegation to the Championship, Leeds appear to be heading in a stable direction both on and off the pitch, and their devoted fans will be eager to see what the future holds, especially if they can convert some of the upgrades Maguire mentions into funds for the manager to spend in the transfer market.
