Alasdair Gold offers an update on Tottenham’s Gallagher and Eze interests

Tottenham are finding it difficult to complete agreements for Conor Gallagher and Eberechi Eze this summer- Gold.

Spurs are interested in Gallagher and Eze.
Both Gallagher and Eze are presently with the England group at the Euros in Germany, but uncertainty about their futures persists.

Gold confirms what we’ve heard in recent weeks about Tottenham’s interest in the pair, claiming that both Chelsea and Crystal Palace players are high on Ange Postecoglou’s wishlist.

However, he claims that the Blues star has’very little intention’ of leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, despite having only a year left on his deal.

Crystal Palace does not want to lose Eze.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are believed to have no intention of negotiating with Tottenham over Eze.

As a result, Spurs would have to pay the 25-year-old’s release clause to bring him to N17, which has been characterised as a ‘difficult one’.

However, Gold points out that Eze is represented by CAA Base, which has an excellent relationship with Tottenham and strong ties to Daniel Levy, which might help arrange a transfer.

According to reports, Spurs will find it considerably more difficult to complete the Gallagher deal than the Eze one. According to all indications, the Palace star is eager to join Spurs, and it looks that meeting his release clause is all that stands in the way.

Despite Chelsea’s willingness to sell, Tottenham appear to have a long way to go to persuade Gallagher to relocate across London.
