Legendary Tottenham Hotspur player Gareth Bale was back at N17 for Chelsea’s Premier League match on Monday night.
Over two stints, the Welshman made 236 competitive appearances for Spurs, scoring 71 goals and dishing out 58 assists.
Bale spoke to the supporters about his love for the team during halftime as a special guest of Tottenham that evening.
He told the Daily Mail, “Moving to Tottenham was the best thing I ever did.” “I can still recall it as if it were yesterday.
“It feels like coming home to be back in front of these incredible fans,”
After an incredible career as one of the most successful British players of all time, Bale announced his retirement from professional football at the beginning of the year.
The 34-year-old has won numerous awards during his career, including three La Liga championships and five Champions Leagues.

Bale was a member of Tottenham’s team that won the 2008 League Cup, which was their final major victory.
The £85 million Tottenham paid for him in 2013 when he transferred to Real Madrid set a record for the world.
Bale was able to witness live at N17 one of the wildest and most dramatic Premier League matches ever.
Sadly, it didn’t go Tottenham’s way, as they finished the game on the receiving end of a 4-1 defeat by Chelsea.
Dejan Kulusevski’s early effort for Tottenham had deflected off Levi Colwill to open the score.
On the other hand, 35 minutes after Cristian Romero was sent off for fouling Enzo Fernandez, Cole Palmer equalised from the penalty spot.
Then, following a late challenge on Raheem Sterling in the second half, Destiny Udogie was also dismissed for a second yellow card.
Tottenham attempted to hold on after trailing nine goals, but in the 75th minute, Chelsea finally broke through.
After receiving a pass from Reece James, Sterling timed his run to square the ball up for Nicolas Jackson to tap in.
In second-half injury time, Jackson added two more goals to round out the score.
