An odd deal structure is proposed for the transfer of Mergim Berisha to Leeds United.

Leeds United supporters have probably heard of Mergim Berisha. When Jesse Marsch was in charge, the club wanted him, but Daniel Farke might be the one to bring him to Elland Road.

Many names seem to be on Leeds United‘s transfer radar at the moment. Sadly, though, it doesn’t appear that anyone is close to joining Daniel Farke‘s team at this time.
Some Leeds supporters are upset about the lack of reported arrivals at Elland Road when teams like Sunderland are set to recruit Enzo Le Fee on loan from Roma.

Leeds appears to be searching the European markets for possible new players. Most importantly, given the few names being connected to Leeds, it appears that Farke has his sights set on the Bundesliga.

Leeds United wants Nico Elvedi, and Farke is interested in getting back together with the Borussia Monchengladbach player. The Whites are also rumored to be pursuing Mergim Berisha at Hoffenheim.

Mergim Berisha is still a target for Leeds United.

It appears that 26-year-old Berisha will be moving in January. It has been made public that Berisha has no future at Hoffenheim and that other teams, including Werder Bremen of Germany, are currently interested in signing him.

Jesse Marsch‘s Leeds United offer for Berisha in the past was evidently unsuccessful. However, it has since been established that Leeds is still interested in Berisha. Ben Heckner, a journalist for Sky Sports, stated on X that Leeds United and Werder Bremen are still interested in Hoffenheim’s Mergim Berisha.

It’s interesting to note that Berisha may depart on a loan agreement with a one-and-a-half-year term and a buyout option. According to previous reports, Hoffenheim values Berisha at £5.8 million.
Mergim Berisha’s interest at Leeds United may be impacted by the Patrick Bamford update. Although Farke doesn’t appear to be very interested in adding a striker in January, the most recent news on Berisha indicates that Leeds is keeping an eye on possible options in the market.

However, Patrick Bamford might be able to thwart a Leeds move for Berisha. It has now been disclosed that Wrexham is not interested in Bamford during this January transfer window, as the high-paid striker is injured.

With Bamford still on the books and the possibility that he could yet regain form in the second half of the season, Leeds are reluctant to invest a lot of money on Berisha.

With multiple defenders now being linked, it appears like Farke is concentrating his efforts on acquiring a new center back at Elland Road.
