Ange cull continues as Spurs trio prepares to leave; Socceroos star wants a late switch: Deadline Day LIVE

Transfer deadline day has here, and clubs around Europe are preparing to make their final moves before the window closes.

SPURS TRIO ON THE WAY OUT

Ange Postecoglou is finally reducing the fat from his team, with three of his Tottenham Hotspur players leaving.

Sergio Reguilon, who joined Tottenham in the summer of 2020, is expected to join Manchester United on loan, according to The Athletic.

The Red Devils had planned to sign Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella, but a deal was considered too costly, so they pushed for the Tottenham defender instead.

Reguilon played in Tottenham’s preseason but has had to settle for a backup role this season as Destiny Udogie has taken over at left back.

Japhet Tanganga, another academy graduate, will leave Tottenham in the near future.

Tanganga will be on loan to Bundesliga club Augsburg, according to the Daily Mail.

The third member of the leaving trio is Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who has been heavily linked with a move to Fulham.

The Cottagers appear to be prepared to lose top defensive midfielder Joao Palinha, who is expected to join Bayern Munich.

According to the Daily Mail, Fulham are rushing to find a successor for Palinha and have made a £25 million bid for Hojbjerg.

SURPRISE REUNION FOR SOCCEROO?

Socceroos midfielder Harry Souttar might leave Leicester City almost as quickly as he arrived.

This season, the towering centre-back has failed to break into Enzo Maresca‘s starting lineup, with Wout Faes and Jannik Vestergaard favoured ahead of him.

According to the Daily Record, Souttar could soon join his brother John on the pitch for Scottish powerhouse Rangers.

It is unclear whether Souttar will go on a permanent or loan basis, but leaving Leicester appears to be his best chance for consistent game time.
