Ange Postecoglou delivers a significant revelation concerning Tottenham’s summer plans.

Ange Postecoglou has disclosed that Tottenham already has a transfer strategy in place, which he is pleased with, and that the club is trying to bolster their forward line.

This summer is likely to be particularly busy at Hotspur Way as Postecoglou continues to shape the squad around his style of play while also adding reinforcements to help Spurs deal with the added burden of European competition.

It has been widely speculated that the club will experience a major departure this summer, with some sources claiming that up to nine first-team players have already been listed for sale.

Some sites have reported in recent weeks that the Australian has requested the club’s management for four top-tier recruits, with the club seeking to bolster at the rear, midfield, and attack (TEAMtalk).

Postecoglou discloses early Spurs transfer plans.

Following Totteham’s 1-1 draw against Newcastle at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Postecoglou said that the club has already set out a transfer strategy that he is quite comfortable with, and that they hope to make some signings before the start of pre-season again.

The 58-year-old also indicated that the Lilywhites plan to bolster their forward line this summer.

Alasdair Gold claims that Postecoglou told him: ‘He indicated there’s a plan in place that he’s very comfortable with. He’s hoping to make acquisitions before pre-season again this summer, and the attack is obviously an area he wants fresh players in.

Regarding getting players in early, Postecoglou stated (Football London): “Yeah, look, it is vital. I think it works better, Ali. Last year, having a couple of players arrive early allowed us to be with the entire squad.

“Looking at the timetable this year with international commitments, we won’t be able to have them all back for the start of pre-season, but we might be able to get some in early.

It is easier said than done. Everyone wants to do business quickly and bring in new players, but the reality is that it takes some time.

“The good thing for us is that we know what we need to do, we’ve had the plan in place for a while and it’s just about now going through that process.”

Spurs Web Opinion

We know Postecoglou wants a number six and an eight, as well as more center-back and full-back coverage. Personally, I don’t believe Tottenham will recruit an out-and-out centre forward this summer. I believe Ange will want another dynamic forward who can play in any of the front three positions.
