Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly strengthening their chase of teenage Swedish winger Roony Bardghji ahead of the forthcoming transfer window, according to Inter Live (via Football 365).
Manager Ange Postecoglou is reportedly eager to sign Bardghji and has explicitly asked the club’s board to prioritize the signing in January.
With crucial players like Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon out injured, Spurs are thought to be aggressively hunting for a winger, with Bardghji being a prominent contender. Other players listed in the report are Samuel Iling-Junior and Matias Soule, but Ange ‘likes the best’ Bardghji.
The highly talented winger has a history with Tottenham. 5 years ago he came to North London and gave a trial at the club.
He went on to score thee goals and assisted two more in an impressive performance against Ipswich Town. But despite his performance, Spurs ended up not signing him.
Interestingly, Bardghji’s representation by CAA Base, known for their rapport with Spurs, could sway negotiations in Tottenham’s favor.
Furthermore, the presence of another Swedish prodigy, Kulusevski, within the Spurs ranks could influence Bardghji’s choice to join the club.
