Ange Postecoglou has a scathing five-word response to Rodrigo Bentancur kicking the Tottenham bench against Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has given his opinion on Rodrigo Bentancur’s attitude after being substituted.

On Tuesday night, the Australian wasn’t happy.

Tottenham lost 2-0 at home to Manchester City, ending their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League. Bentancur was quite frustrated by what occurred in the second half. Ange Postecoglou reacted to Rodrigo Bentancur kicking the Tottenham bench.

Rodrigo Bentancur started the game for Tottenham on Tuesday night and nearly had an immediate impact. The Uruguay international found himself on the edge of the box early in the game and fired a powerful left-footed strike.

Unfortunately for him, Ederson made a superb save.

Bentancur was then arrested for a reckless challenge, forcing him to exercise caution. In the buildup to Erling Haaland’s first goal, the midfielder allowed Phil Foden to cross the ball without any resistance.

That cost Tottenham the game, and he was undoubtedly dissatisfied with his actions.

In the 55th minute, Ange Postecoglou chose to take him off and replace him with Dejan Kulusevski.

Bentancur was enraged when he stepped off. He kicked the Tottenham bench in frustration before tossing his shin pad on the ground.

Postecoglou, who was dissatisfied with the outcome, was questioned about Bentancur’s conduct after he was substituted in the second half.

The Australian responded bluntly with five words. He said, according to Football London, “I didn’t notice. “I don’t care.”

Ange Postecoglou would have spotted two major issues with his Tottenham squad.

Ange Postecoglou will undoubtedly make changes to his team this summer.

Tottenham are a fine squad, but they are a long way from contending for the Premier League crown. They aren’t even ready to enter the Champions League.

Tottenham’s outing against Manchester City on Tuesday night demonstrated the need for significant midfield and attacking reinforcements.

Rodrigo Bentancur is a terrific player, but if Spurs want to advance, they will need to buy someone better than the Uruguayan and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Tottenham’s offensive could also use some improvement. They have some good names, but they need players who can come up and perform in the final third of huge games.

The setback versus Manchester City demonstrated that they currently lack such players in their team.
