Ange Postecoglou left utterly upset with the £25 million Tottenham player- Despite Brentford Victory

Ange Postecoglou was not completely satisfied with Tottenham Hotspur’s stunning comeback victory over Brentford.

Spurs opened the game slowly by their standards, giving Brentford far too much space in their own half.

After the break, Tottenham looked much more like a Postecoglou team, with their characteristic offensive fairness on display.

The addition of Brennan Johnson appeared to be critical, altering the dynamic of the Spurs‘ front line.

Although Tottenham were clinical for 15 minutes, Postecoglou was plainly irritated by some of his side’s missed opportunities.

This season, both critics and fans have often warned Dejan Kulusevski that he needs to be more clinical in front of goal.

And it was about the 57th minute that the Swede really irritated his manager.

Postecoglou was enraged on the sideline during TNT Sports‘ live broadcast of the game when Kulusevski entered the box but elected not to shoot.

The Swede had cut in from the right and made an unwise decision to faint when he should have tested Mark Flekken.

Ange Postecoglou departed quite unhappy with Dejan Kulusevski in Tottenham’s win against Brentford.

Postecoglou sought to disguise his dissatisfaction with his technical department, turning to his staff in despair.

Of course, it appears that enhancing his overall product will be the critical next step in Kulusevski’s game.

The winger has made tremendous improvement since his initial arrival in 2022, eventually signing permanently for £25 million.

And, while his work rate is among the finest in the league, something Postecoglou clearly admires, he will need to improve his productivity to stay in the starting lineup.

That may sound harsh given what Kulusevski has accomplished this season, but it reflects how swiftly Spurs are improving and how effectively those around him are performing.

Having said that, Tottenham still won convincingly against an impressive Brentford team, and Postecoglou will be pleased with the outcome.

And, once the game is over, it will be intriguing to see if Spurs revive a deal for a player who appears to be interested in joining.
