There is currently much to celebrate for Tottenham Hotspur supporters.
Since Ange Postecoglou came over, the Spurs have advanced several stages.
Tottenham was in a terrible situation at the close of the previous season. They didn’t have a manager, a football director, or any European football to look forward to.
Indeed, not everyone was happy with Spurs‘ choice to hire Postecoglou. But he has already won over the majority of the neutrals and the entire fandom.
The new Tottenham manager has executed a number of masterful moves. His player acquisitions were impressive, particularly the acquisition of James Maddison.
Guglielmo Vicario is another custodian who debuted to a very mixed reception but quickly gained the support of the crowd.
In fact, Tottenham is doing so well that it’s almost easy to forget that they recently sold their top scorer and talisman.
Harry Kane’s departure from Tottenham raised concerns that the team’s offensive capabilities would be seriously weakened.
This hasn’t happened, though. Another genius move was to move Son Heung-min to No. 9.
The 31-year-old has scored six Premier League goals in four games after switching to the central striker position.
Darren Bent commended Postecoglou for the choice to shift Son to the centre of the front line earlier this week on talkSPORT.
“Son down the middle looks like a masterstroke,” commented Bent. Listen, Postecoglou, he hasn’t yet put a foot wrong.
As the captain and line leader, the South Korean international has more than lived up to the challenge.
Spurs’ position at the top of the Premier League standings is clear evidence of the return for all of their hard work thus far.
Tottenham supporters ought to be ecstatic at how well their team has done thus far, and they undoubtedly will be.
Despite the fact that it is still very early in the season, Spurs have the groundwork in place and are undoubtedly headed in the right direction.
