Anthony Gordon is being considered by Liverpool.

Liverpool has already begun planning for the summer transfer window, which might be a busy one for them.

Jurgen Klopp is leaving the club at the conclusion of the season, and Arne Slot will take over as manager.

Liverpool have done an excellent job developing their boardroom structure, which will help the club lay a solid foundation for the future following the Klopp era.

The summer window will be critical, and the Reds must make tough selections. Michael Edwards, the club’s CEO, will undoubtedly seek to add quality players to the roster this summer, while some may be moved.

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool are considering signing Newcastle United attacker Anthony Gordon.

The Reds may be tempted to transfer Mohamed Salah this summer if they receive a large offer from Saudi clubs. They could also attempt to replace him with Gordon, who has been “sensational” for Newcastle this season.

Liverpool are unlikely to sign Anthony Gordon.

The 23-year-old offensive midfielder joined the Magpies during the January window of 2023. Gordon demonstrated his talent in his first full season with the club, scoring ten goals and assisting ten times in the Premier League.

His outstanding accomplishments for the club have earned him a position in the England national team, and he will be hoping to make the squad for the Euros.

While Newcastle intends to maintain the important playmaker, the Saudi-owned club may sell at least one of its best players to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

According to the source, Liverpool would have to pay close to £100 million to sign the dynamic attacking midfielder, which is unlikely.

Gordon is unquestionably a talented player, but the Edwards-led side will most likely not pay a high price to buy a single player; rather, the money will be carefully spent to strengthen numerous parts of the pitch.
