Archie Gray, the midfielder for Leeds United, could be replaced by Luke Ayling when they face Norwich City at Carrow Road on October 21.
Gray played out of position at right-back when the Whites defeated Bristol City 2-1 on the weekend, but the underlying figures were not outstanding.
While it was an excellent performance considering it was not his typical position, Leeds are unlikely to keep him in this position in the long run.
According to Sofascore, he failed to complete a single cross entire game, something Leeds will need against opponents that keep the ball tight in the midfield.
Grey can be considered if the goal is for him to drop into midfield and form a box, as some well-drilled sides do.
However, his touch map indicates that Farke wants him to play as an orthodox full-back, which suggests Ayling might return to the starting lineup.
Having said that, Gray won seven tackles against Bristol, demonstrating that he can play the defensive role of a full-back perfectly.
Farke will be relieved that he can rely on the teenager to fill in for Djed Spence, who is now injured.
Gray will need to work on his long passes and crossing skills if he is to prosper in that capacity, but for his first time doing so in a professional game, there wasn’t much to criticise in his performance.
