According to the Leeds United YouTube channel, Daniel Farke stated at his news conference on Friday that Djed Spence is in the “final stages” of his recovery. He also provided updates on Stuart Dallas and Junior Firpo.
After suffering a broken leg against Manchester City in April 2022, Dallas is still out. Firpo has not played since we played our final game of the previous season, a 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
Since joining Leeds on loan from Spurs, Spence has only played once due to an injury sustained during practise. The latter is getting close to returning to training after an anticipated eight-week absence.
Dallas has been in and out of squad practise in an effort to increase his level of fitness before returning to full senior training. Firpo is back in full training mode and may return to action soon. Farke made a remark.
“Stuart is currently working on some solo training, while Junior is back in team training. Djed is nearing the end of his recovery. Stuart and Djed should be able to resume team training soon; Djed missed eight weeks.
Before he can play, he needs to receive some training. According to Leeds United‘s YouTube channel, Farke discussed the three injuries during Friday’s news conference. “Hopefully in the next 10 days, 14 days he will be back.”
Says Daniel Farke, Djed Spence is nearing the end of his recovery in Leeds
How encouraging this is. With the England U19 player now playing on the right side of defence, it will enable Archie Gray to move back to the middle of the pitch. He was far from his best against Stoke. Not as successful.
However, Gray really pops in the midst of the park. Spence will be a huge asset to this Leeds team since he is a Premier League calibre player who is familiar with the Championship. It will take time for Dallas and Firpo.
They have been out for longer. Firpo will be a formidable opponent for the very skilled Sam Byram, particularly at this level. Dallas enhances this aspect right away for a variety of reasons. I hope they return shortly.
