Bayern Munich has already signed Harry Kane and Eric Dier from Tottenham this season and may be willing to battle with the north London club for another key target.
Bayern Munich is interested in signing Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey to boost their English squad at the Allianz Arena.
This season, the Germans have already signed Tottenham players Harry Kane and Eric Dier, with the latter coming on loan earlier this month. Bayern aren’t done yet; they’re pursuing Villa midfielder Ramsey.
According to The Athletic, the reigning Bundesliga winners are impressed by the 22-year-old talent. They aren’t the only ones interested, though.
Tottenham are also reportedly interested in signing Ramsey. Newcastle were considering a move this month, but Eddie Howe has dismissed speculation.
When asked about the Magpies’ interest, Howe merely stated: “Incorrect.” Meanwhile, both Bayern Munich and Tottenham appear to be struggling to complete a deal, with Villa demanding more than £50 million for their academy graduate.
The Midlands club could do with a sale to meet the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability requirements at the conclusion of the season. However, they want to maintain Ramsey, who has become as a crucial player under Unai Emery.
In response to rumours that he would quit, the Villa manager stated: “Jacob Ramsey is a very important player.” He was raised in an academy, and it is obvious that he is improving. He’s getting better and better, and I want to keep him here with us.
Naturally, he begins to make some moves in his vicinity and with some organisations in the hopes of signing him. Naturally, because he has the potential to be a major player for both England and Aston Villa. I really want to keep him here.”
During the 2021–2022 season, the midfielder had an incredible breakthrough campaign and improved on his results from the previous campaign. Due to injury, Ramsey has only made six starts across all competitions and has scored one goal this season.
He signed a new contract in 2022, and his time in the Midlands is scheduled to end in 2027. He remarked, “It’s a proud moment for me, especially for my family,” in a statement at the time. I’ve been here for a while, went through the Academy, and I’m thrilled to have signed a contract with this club for another five years.
Apart from Ramsey, Villa might potentially be persuaded to make a big money move on one of their key players right now. Jhon Duran, a striker, has been connected to Chelsea, a rival team in the Premier League.
