Journalist Ben Jacobs claims that Leeds United will attempt to sign a new full-back during the January transfer window.
This month, Luke Ayling left the Whites to play the rest of the season for Middlesbrough, leaving them without a full-back. Jacobs went on to say that Crysencio Summerville, a great winger that Leeds wants to keep at Elland Road, is attracting more attention.
Jacobs posted, “I have good news,” in a Q&A on X. Leeds should target a full-back, in my opinion. Connor Roberts and Chris Mepham are both potential candidates.
Additionally, they wish to cling onto Crysencio Summerville. Growing interest, but Leeds has been quite happy with his approach over the summer.
Last summer, there was a lot of movement at Elland Road in both directions, and Leeds was very busy during the transfer window.
After being relegated from the Premier League, the Whites lost a number of key players, as many first-team players were unwilling to play in the Championship because of the decline in competition.
However, Daniel Farke, who took over as manager, did a fantastic job of replacing them, bringing players to Elland Road like Joel Piroe and Ethan Ampadu.
But now that the Whites are aiming for an early return to the Premier League, the man in the dugout may try to expand his choices even more this month.
Leeds, with 48 points from 26 games played so far this season, is presently ranked fourth in the Championship table. They have been playing well.
However, the campaign is lengthy, and Farke might have to bring in new players this month to keep the Whites’ momentum going as they pursue Southampton, Ipswich Town, and Leicester City.
As a Whites development develops, 49ers Enterprises have made it possible for a defender to return to Elland Road in other Leeds United news.
