Ben Parker reacts on Twitter after watching Leeds United finally beat Plymouth in the rain

Ben Parker was in attendance at Home Park on Tuesday night as Leeds United finally knocked Plymouth Argyle out of The FA Cup – and he posted on Twitter after watching the Whites win 4-1.

After drawing 1-1 at Elland Road, Leeds had to go down south in what was a largely unwanted trip to Plymouth to face Ian Foster’s side. Connor Roberts, Adam Forshaw, Darko Gyabi all barred from playing.

Leeds took the lead after Willy Gnonto scored his second in two games and third of the season with a well-placed right-foot finish. But Plymouth, utterly against the tide, fought back. Brendan Galloway has scored.

It forced the game into overtime in conditions that were not just extremely rainy but also windy. Finally, Cree Summerville put Leeds ahead, before Georginio Rutter made it 3-1 with a superb left-foot shot.

The Whites face either Aston Villa or Chelsea in the last 16, with the two Premier League clubs meeting on Wednesday night. Leeds has reached the fifth round for only the second time in eight years.
